Dover Finally Getting a Movie Theater Again After AMC Closure
Residents in Dover may soon have a reason to head back to the movies.
Plans are officially moving forward for a new theater called Dover Movies 14, which is expected to replace the former AMC theater location at Dover Mall. According to reports from Delaware Online and other regional sources, the new theater is scheduled to open in late summer or early fall 2026.
The announcement comes after Dover residents spent more than a year without a major movie theater following the closure of AMC Dover in 2024.
